I don't think anything from the cocktail menu will disappoint. I do recommend trying a cocktail, I don’t quite remember what I got but it was delicious.

I’m not sure if things have changed with Covid, but this is just my experience when we were here a year ago.

I will say… the food is delicious, it’s tapas style so if you’re looking for a full meal I don’t think this would be the place for you. Though we were unable to shake the chef's hand as he had already left for the night, we had a wonderful conversation with his wife and expressed out heartfelt gratitude to them for all their effort to create something truly wondrous. Their produce is locally sourced, their staff are generally long-term employees more akin to family, their zeal is palpable for what they are doing, and all of that shows through profoundly in the taste. The conclusion of our evening was both of us, in tears of joy at the love and beauty infused within every bite. So, please come here and tip them very well to give them enough money to redecorate and give them the external trappings worthy of their incredible culinary offerings!! :) Our only critique would be that the ambience/decor of the interior is not nearly magical enough to equal the glory of their food.

She was kind, efficient, supremely confident in the quality of their food, engaging, and incidentally, also a farmer from whom the restaurant sources some of it's produce! She was amazing. We also could not leave a review without mentioning our absolutely stellar waitress. 8 out of 8 eight items we ordered were the singularly best version of those items we have ever had at a restaurant. We can wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend this location to anyone and everyone, young or old, big or small, who regularly consumes food! Guaranteed to blow your mind, induce salivation, satisfy your hunger, and pleasure your taste buds to one of the greatest treats they have will have had in their recent memories. This was one of the most enjoyable and memorable culinary experiences my wife and I have EVER had. Black Bear diner was quick to respond to my review but they still haven't responded to my email that they advised me to send and that was almost 2 weeks ago, that I sent that email. They also put my sons meal on the smallest plate possible and he had a hard time eating because he had no space. The first time the Waitress Julie was rude, we should have just left than. The table next to us came in 15 minutes after we arrived and had a large party as well, and their food came out before ours did. Our food was absolutely horrible, our scrambled eggs with our pancake meal came out cold. When we went to pay she was pissed and was very vocal about the fact that we did not leave her a tip. She was pissed that we had a party of 10 and threw an absolute fit the entire time we were there. The Waitress only came out to bring meals, never offered refills or ice cream like the kids menu states they receive for eating a cub meal. The portion sizes were very small for the price, compared to other black bear diners we had been to previously. We came in during dinner hour and it was not busy at all. Nothing quite beats the delicious yolk on top of a CFS.

Now that the itch is scratched, I think I’ll go back to my sunny side up eggs. Everything tasted great here and I was glad I was able to enjoy a nice omelette. I ordered the CFS kitchen sink omelette (with gravy and cheese separated for dietary reasons) and it was a great medium between two difficult choices I usually have at diners, whether to get an omelette, eggs Benedict, or my usual chicken fried steak with two sunny side up eggs. Everything tasted very hearty and delicious and something about the eggs that day was very fresh and tasty.įast forward to today and they’ve expanded their chicken fried steak options. It was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. I ordered a chicken fried steak and eggs and split it with a friend. There was a supercharger in this parking lot and luckily there was a place to eat as well. I first stumbled upon it when my friends and I were going camping and we needed to charge their Tesla. This is one of my favorite stops on the way to Olympic national park.
